This will be larger and bigger car than before, with even 1,8 inches more in wheelbase and 3,5 inches in length. This new size of this car is not changing the weight of the car, so it will be around 5,000 pounds, this is more than Elite, for example. This means that this car will be a great choice for families, because of extra space for the passengers, but without gaining pounds in weight.

Maybe the best explanation of this model is more space and practical shape but without any sense of style and luxury. Parents will be happy with this roomy interior, which looks like the minivan. There are no individual second-row buckets in this car that will be expected in new Elite but parents say that there is an excellent free access to the third row and the avoidance of back seat warfare. Even that, the cushion is very low and flat. Luggage capacity is better than in most known trucks, with room for a quartet of standard-size roller bags standing up behind the rear-most seatback.

2017 Honda Pilot Engine

For the 2017 Honda Pilot, the 3,5 liter V6 as a new direct injected engine was made. This is like Acura MDX with 10 horsepower less but on regular fuel. That means 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque more than 250 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. After the previous five speeds automatic engine, now is six speeds in LX, EX and EX-L models. With this more power, less mass, additional gears the 2017 Honda Pilot can up to 60 mph for 6, 1 second, which is two seconds more than the previous model. For four drive models its more than one choice in powertrain models – normal, snow, sand and mud rated to 5000 pounds, which is up from 4500 than in previously models. Honda’s AWD system has a torque-vectoring function while front drive models can tug 3500 pounds. The steering, now electrically assisted, is light at low speeds, making less confidence-inspiring than it might be.

The price starts from the $30,875 for the front-wheel-drive 2017 Honda Pilot and the EX has a base price of $33,310. For all drive wheel Pilot Elite the price is $47,300.
