It didnt take too long after revealing the Kubang concept, at the Frankfurt Auto Show 2011, for Maserati to confirm it first ever SUV, the 2017 Maserati Levante SUV. The large SUV, called Levante, is named after the Via Emilia Levante in Bologna, where Maserati brothers about a centry ago founded the company that today still wears their name. The luxury Levante SUV will be built by Maserati at the Mirafiori factory, in Turin, Italy.
In fact, there was a small delay in the release of the new car, which will be shown officially early next year. Lounching brands first SUV is expected for the 2016, at the Detroit Autoshow, USA. Meanwhile, there are great expectations of fans and experts for the release of a vehicle with which Maserati is trying an experiment similar to the Porsche Cayenne.

2017 Maserati Levante SUV Engine
Recent report indicate that the Levante will be the performer too. 2017 Maserati Levante SUV will offer two petrol engines and one diesel motor. As for the gasoline versions there will be offered 3.0 liter twin turbo V-6 that makes 410 hp and 550 Nm of torque, and 3.8 liter twin turbo V-8 generating 530 hp and 710 Nm of torque.
A diesel power engine will be offering 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 that produces 275 hp and 600 Nm of torque. All of the engines will be equiped with 8 speed automatic transmission and all wheel drive.
It is early to talk about 2017 Maserati Levante SUV prices, but the guess is between $80,000 – $160,000, similar to Porsche’s Cayenne.
