The project of the new 2018 Audi R8 e-tron has stumbled last six year. There were the moments when the engineers had made the best version of the car ever, and then the periods of real going back over the project table. But now, Audi can gladden us with the completely new concept of a fully electrified version of the second-generation R8.
This beautiful 2018 Audi R8 e-tron will have a new 2,0 lithium-ion T-shaped battery behind the passenger cell put in the center tunnel. It’s expected to drive 280 miles with one electric charge. After the filing the engine in the back side of the car, you can enjoy in driving with 456 horsepower which will produce 679 pound-feet of torque. It’s also expected to reach the 60 mph for 3, 9 seconds and the top speed will be 155 mph. that means that the best speed will be 130 mph with a little space for driving a little bit faster.
The car’s dynamic abilities are enhanced by torque-vectoring capability enabled by the two rear motors. That is much better than first e-tron concept with all-wheel drive, four motors and 313 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque with a little slower reaching of the best speed – for 5,2 seconds.

It’s not hard to expect that this car will be better shaped than the previous model, meaning more sharply and aerodynamic. There will be seen aero-focused wheels, fixed and small rear lip spoiler and horizontal silver garnishes on both ends. In the front of the car, you may see air intake with some parts made from carbon-fiber parts. Basically, the whole looks are futuristic and technical designed than the previous model intend to be the car for the future.

2018 Audi R8 e-tron Engine
For some knowers, 2018 Audi R8 e-tron will not much be different from the Tesla Model X. The chief Ulrich Hackenberg claim that the looking will be more like SUV EV built on the Q7’s MBL platform surely better from the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive and BMW i8. The price will be higher than for this model, too.
There is no available price for the 2018 Audi R8 e-tron, but we can be sure that it will be close to the previous model, at least for the basic model. Delivery time is late 2017 but only for the markets inside of USA.
