If one car can attract attention and interests, that surely is a new 2018 Dodge Demon. Firstly called “Hellcat on steroids” it is not a mistake when manufacturer gave him a name “demon” because the engine specifications force us to have the same conclusion. The idea for making the car with this engine has been announced in 2007 but it never been realized, so it should not be mixed with that version, even there are some similarities. When Road & track announced that Dodge has a new teaser for model numbered with mystique number 0757, nobody could expect something as big and strong as this model. According to the other features on it, that is not the only surprise from this manufacturer.
Enjoy the teaser video:
As the head of Dodge, SRT, Chrysler, and Fiat for FCA North America said, “Most cars attempt to be everything to everybody.” It seems that this manufacturer has decided to change that made a car only for speed driving, designing only needed parts for that purpose and avoiding things not important for increasing speed. That means that car has an ergonomic shape, with a huge air intake in the middle of the hood and little lower roof end and rear end. At the first glance, it looks like old cars from 70’s, maybe too sharp for a modern car, but curved enough for purposes it is planned.
As manufacturer promised, 2018 Dodge Demon will offer very interesting things to their buyers, like the option to take off the rear seats, so the car should be faster and intended only for races. Besides that, we can say nothing new about the interior of the car, because the manufacturer has not offered much information for now.
We saw that Demon is named for fast driving, so the engine should be the most important thing in this model. Although some knower expected 757 horsepower in a new engine (because of the secret model number), but it will have amazingly 707 horsepower of strength in 6.2-liter V8 engine paired with the 10-speed automatic transmission.
2018 Dodge Demon Conclusion
Nothing is for sure about the 2018 Dodge Demon for now, and if you can wait to see all novelties on this auto, you should wait for New York Car Show scheduled in April. However, many details are already seen on the site Dodge with videos and explanations. Hellcat, the older model from the same brand, costs $60,000 so we can expect the price close to that number.
