According to the information we have got, Jaguar is finally going to add another member to its series of crossovers. This baby SUV, known as the Jaguar E-Pace is going to hit the market as a 2018 model and it is probably going to be revealed in September at the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show.
It has been noticed that the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace will be wearing an Evoque body. The spy photos of this model being tested proved that it will resemble a lot the larger F-Pace, especially in the front part. So, the grille, headlights, air dam and corner vents will remain similar as well as the hood, but with, perhaps, more emphasized body lines. Speaking of general dimensions and styling, the E-Pace will be about ten inches shorter and a bit sportier than the F-Pace. The mirrors will as well seem similar to those seen on the F-Pace model while the roof will be curved. The back part of the new E-Pace has probably undergone most changes. The stationary window behind the rear doors and the C-pillars will be smaller. The lighting system will be using the LED technology.
The spy photos of the new 2018 Jaguar E-Pace could not reveal much information about its interior, although it has been said that it will probably resemble the F-Pace in this section, too. The instrument cluster, the center console and the three-spoke multifunction steering wheel will be fairly similar to those found inside the F-Pace. You can expect a 12.3-inch touch screen with the latest InControl infotainment system that will provide all the latest high-tech options and types of connectivity. The center console will be placed high in the dashboard, between the two front seats.
Since we have already mentioned that the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace will be based on Evoque platform, we can only guess what type of engine is going to be hidden under its hood. It will probably be equipped with a new four-cylinder engine. The current Evoque is geared with an inline four-cylinder that can make 240 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque. It has been expected that the new Jaguar will be able to reach 260 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. We can only wait a bit longer and see if the Jaguar is going to surprise us.
2018 Jaguar E-Pace Price and Release Date
The 2018 Jaguar E-Pace will probably be revealed during the 2017 (as we have already mentioned, it will most likely happed at the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show in September). But only in 2018 will it hit the showrooms. As you know, this crossover will be smaller than the current F-Pace so you should expect lower price that will probably start between $30,000 and $35,000.
