According to Automobile magazine, Sergio Marchionne- Chrysler Group CEO, Dodge Charger will head to its latest generation in 2016. He also indicated that the arrival of 2019 Dodge Charger may share some platforms with revised Chrysler 300 to be released in 2017. The car will have a standard rear wheel drive. All wheel drive will be an optional spec that will come along with the systems engine and transmission. A clear overview of the entire re-modelling is as follows:
Engine and fuel economy
The company has promised that the 2019 Dodge Charger continue with its V6 and V8 series of engines although it will be different from the current Pentastar V6 and Hemi V8. For manual lovers, it is unfortunate as it is expected that the new Dodge will be on automatic transmission mode. It is likely that it will run on a dual clutch alongside 8-speed transmission. In the past, the vehicle has been criticized to be heavy and a fuel guzzler. It is obvious that many people will appreciate a low weight model. This will give a chance to a better engine performance and become fuel efficient car. It may be one of the key features that will be focused on during the re-modeling of the Dodge.
It is expected that the car will be packed heavily on the power performance. It will continue with its current aggressive and the sporty qualities present in the current Charger Sedan. The engine is likely to face an upgrade with a chassis technology to give more output performance on the engine.
Interior and exterior Design
We can expect to see more of a sport-car in both interior and exterior parts of the car. Although they are some expectations that it may shift a little on the luxury spectrum and compete with likes of Audi, Lincoln and Cadillac. It is expected that it will have 4 doors present but with a premium luxury look. For the headlights, LED will be way to go to give an excellent view in all weather conditions and different times of the day. An improved bumper and special alloy wheels are expected while the interior will most likely have quality leather seats for maximum comfort. The Dashboard’s central console may be equipped with a larger touch screen display. With 8.4 inches screen, it will have other additional infotainment features full of new technology.
2019 Dodge Charger Release date and price
It is expected that the 2019 Dodge Charger will be released any date in the middle of the year 2018. An average estimation of the price is not officially announced but it will be more than $50,000 considering the great improvements.
