It seems that the recent rumors about the 2019 Toyota Supra being tested and on its way to the market are true. The enthusiasts have been eagerly anticipating this sports car and according to the information we have got the new Supra will appear even more powerful and with new engine options.
It has been said that the collaboration between Toyota and BMW has led to the creation of the new 2019 Toyota Supra. It can be noticed that the FT1 concept, which was launched in 2014, has served as an inspiration for the overall design of the new Supra. This can especially be seen in the front fascia which proudly wears a long, race-inspired hood. Although the spy photos have shown mostly a camouflaged prototype of this car, our team has managed to observe some other distinctive features as well. For instance, this sports coupe will get redesigned full-LED headlights with daytime running lamps that will be placed horizontally. There is also a massive sports bumper with large air dams in it. In the back of the vehicle, you will probably find slim taillights and a large rear spoiler.
As far as we have been informed, the 2019 Toyota Supra will be a two-seater. It has not been confirmed yet whether you can hope for sports seats, sports steering wheel and sports pedals, but if the interior is also about to be race-inspired as in FT1 Concept, then you will get all of these features. One thing is for sure – the seats will be covered in leather and other high-quality materials, such as aluminum, will be used to furnish the interior. The seats are also expected to be adjustable, comfortable and supportive, especially at great speeds. It seems that Toyota will pay more attention to luxurious and elegant features inside the Supra than on sports one. It will also provide an updated dashboard with a color screen on the top of it, a digital instrument cluster and a touch screen in a center console that will be driver-oriented. Safety features will also be included.
The most probable option when it comes to engine of the 2019 Toyota Supra is probably the 3.6-liter V6 twin-turbocharged gasoline, found in the 2018 Lexus LS. Such an engine could deliver 400 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, but Supra is perhaps expected to go above these numbers. We have also been informed that the engine will definitely be mated to a manual transmission which is probably great news for all the fans. The possibility of hybrid version, which would get a four-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor, has only been mentioned, but not confirmed yet.
