The new Volkswagen Arteon concept made its official debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March. The Volkswagen fans have been looking forward to this sedan which is going to hit the market as a 2019 Volkswagen Arteon model and actually represent a replacement of the older and quite outdated Volkswagen CC.
When it comes to exterior of the 2019 Volkswagen Arteon, we can say that you should be expecting something bigger. Namely, the new Arteon will be using the well-known VW’s MBQ platform that will this time be stretched. It means that this four-door sedan will get wider, but also longer wheelbase. So you can hope for more space for you and your passengers inside this car. Its body will have stiffer structure and improved suspension, but the driver will also get the so called VW Dynamic Chassis control that will be automatically adjusted to any road conditions and you will be able to choose among three modes – Normal, Comfort and Sport. When you see the new Arteon you will notice its coupe-like profile. The car will also be standing on standard 18-inch wheels, but 19-inch ones will be available as well. The bumpers will get more aggressive appearance. All in all, we are sure that you will love its fastback and stylish design.
As we have already mentioned, the 2019 Volkswagen Arteon will have longer and wider wheelbase so you can expect more spacious cabin and definitely more room in the rear seats. The cabin will perfectly accommodate up to five adult passengers and you will also get plenty of cargo space. The driver will love the VW new Digital cockpit as well as the center console with an 8.0-inch touch-screen display and the infotainment system. Features such as Mirror Link, Android Auto and Apple Car Play will come as standard in this model. The optional 12.3-inch display will be available as optional in higher trims. The new Arteon will be well-equipped with the necessary safety systems and driver assist features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, 360-degree camera and rear-traffic alert.
When it comes to engine that the 2019 Volkswagen Arteon will be hiding under its hood, we have been informed that this model will get a 2.0-liter inline-four. Such an engine will be able to deliver 268 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and get a front-wheel drive as standard. The all-wheel drive system will be available as an option.
