As we assumed, and it turned as true, Aston Martin aims to start a new SUV series with this model, in order to provide long term surviving on today’s inclement market. According to information about the competition, it will not be an easy job at all. Selling of almost 4,000 models last year in this class, Aston Martin has established great position, but now is time for something new and steady, which could provide DBX, a series started with this model.

However, there are many interesting details worth of mentioning together with classic crossover design. Those who are familiar with DB11 Coupe will recognize most interesting details on this model, too. Although there are similarities with AMC Spirit, many things are significantly changed. The Aston Martin platform, shared with Mercedes, as the part of cooperation of these two companies, has been made from aluminum, which is the main novelty. There are obvious changes from coupe which is expected on crossovers, like four doors instead of two, extended and less curved roof, and massive, muscular design. There is the interesting rhomboidal gridded front grille, thin front lights, incorporated in the line of a long hood and small fog lights below them with a thin aluminum line on the bottom of the front bumper. The side of the car has a deep curved line over the middle of the doors. The rear end is most interesting, as changed from coupe model. It is short, rounded with thin rear lights and lowered rear window. There are visible chromatic lines all over the car.

Although there is expected to see Mercedes V8 petrol engine in whole DBX series, there are rumors that 2020 Aston Martin Lagonda SUV should be powered by the electric engine in the future. That information is not confirmed yet, but we have many reasons to believe in it, at the end, Aston Martin has promised significant differences from any other crossover on the market.

Speaking about other models, there are many cars which will be competitors of 2020 Aston Martin Lagonda SUV, with Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga and even Tesla Model X among them. With the price of around $225,000, it will compete with the most expensive models in the class.
